The Lakers have made some major moves this offseason, as they traded for Russell Westbrook and signed several key veterans including Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza and Wayne Ellington.

James and fellow All-Star Anthony Davis missed time during the 2020-21 season due to injury, but the Lakers are hoping that both players will be at full strength next season.

A four-time NBA champion, James is showing some serious confidence in next season’s team after the Lakers shook up their roster this offseason.

With Kyle Kuzma, Alex Caruso and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope all on new teams, James will have to lean on some new faces, and some familiar ones like Talen Horton-Tucker, to fill major roles in the 2021-22 campaign.

The Lakers won the title during the 2019-20 season, but they were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs last season by the Phoenix Suns.
