Los Angeles Lakers guard Troy Daniels has made a career out of being lights out from three-point range. Confident in his ability, he even recently declared that he is the best shooter on the team.
Earlier this week, Daniels appeared on an episode of “Fair Game with Kristine Leahy.”
During the interview, the host mentioned that Lakers head coach Frank Vogel said Daniels is arguably the best shooter on the Lakers. Daniels didn’t take long to offer his own insight.
#Lakers guard @troydaniels says he's the best shooter on the team… even better than @DGreen_14 😳🤭

”For sure,” Daniels interjected.
Surprised, Leahy asked whether teammate Danny Green would concur with Daniels’ assertion.
”I will hope he would challenge me and say, ‘No, that’s not true,’ and maybe we can have a contest and we’ll see,” answered Daniels. “That’s my confidence level as a shooter. You have to have that.”
Leahy then reminded Daniels that he once tweeted he would win the NBA All-Star Three-Point Contest. Asked if he would like to be invited to the competition, Daniels answered affirmatively.
”No question,” Daniels said. “I won a college three-point contest years ago, and I honestly think in this NBA I can win the three-point contest. For sure.”
Throughout his NBA career, Daniels has made 40.0 percent of his three-point shots. That fact likely played a large role in the Lakers’ decision to sign him as a free agent this past offseason.
With LeBron James and Anthony Davis carrying the load offensively, Daniels will see plenty of open shots. He just has to make them consistently in order to display his full value to the team.
