Cousins was widely expected to join a starting frontcourt alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis for the new-look Lakers after signing a one-year, veteran’s minimum deal over the summer.
He averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game for the Golden State Warriors last season.
