During an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s TBS talk show, former Los Angeles Lakers center Shaquille O’Neal offered a hilarious physical assessment of Charles Barkley in discussing what he misses about his fellow Hall of Famer.

O’Neal was asked (at the 10-minute mark) by O’Brien about the idea of missing Barkley, given the current suspension of play in the NBA and other sports.

Both O’Neal and Barkley are part of TNT’s weekly NBA in-studio broadcast team.

“I miss his a–,” O’Neal said. “He has a flat a–. For a black guy, he has a flat a–. I always look at him like, ‘What? Take some booty shots or something.'”

O’Neal did follow up by offering a more sincere appraisal of Barkley and indicated that he misses someone he considers a friend.

Exactly when O’Neal and Barkley will be able to get reacquainted is unknown, given the uncertainty surrounding any resumption of play by the league.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver has offered no official timeline when teams will be able to get back on the court or even if the 2019-20 season will be completed. At the time play was suspended on March 11, just over a month remained in the regular season.

Though the possibility exists that the NBA may not be back until the latter part of 2020, the only certainty is that once it does, O’Neal and Barkley will again be entertaining viewers with their playful on-air banter.
