Ever since LeBron James entered the NBA in 2003, and even before that, there has been a ton of hype surrounding him, to the point where he’s been arguably the most hyped player in the history of the game.

Once he finally won his first NBA championship in 2012, there has been a continuous debate about where he ranks among the greatest players to ever play the game.

A few days ago, Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal took to Instagram to chime in on this debate, at least as far as James’ position is concerned.

For the last several years, most NBA pundits and commentators have asserted their opinion that James is one of the top two or three players ever, if not the greatest of all time.

Several months ago, James himself said that his 2016 championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers made him the greatest of all time, especially considering that they had to overcome a 3-1 series deficit to get it done.

Heading towards his second season with the Purple and Gold, James should be very motivated to rebound from what was a very dismal and injury-riddled 2018-19 season for the team.
