Report: Russell Westbrook expected to miss Lakers game vs. Warriors
- Updated: April 7, 2022

Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook has done a very nice job of avoiding the injury bug this season, but he’s expected to miss L.A.’s game on Thursday against the Golden State Warriors.
It’ll mark Westbrook’s second absence of the season.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook— who has played 78 of 79 games this season — is expected to be out vs. Golden State tonight, sources tell ESPN.

The Lakers, who have already been eliminated from playoff contention, essentially have nothing to play for at this point. It’ll be interesting to see how much Westbrook, LeBron James and Anthony Davis play during the remainder of the campaign.
This season, Westbrook has averaged 18.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field. He’s about to finish his 14th NBA season.
The Lakers currently have a 31-48 record, and unbelievably, they could end up finishing the 2021-22 campaign with 50 losses. They’ll look to avoid that over their final few games.
