Report: New Orleans Pelicans have ‘no interest’ in trading Anthony Davis to Los Angeles Lakers
- Updated: January 31, 2019

Earlier this week, the rumor mill was pointing to Anthony Davis ending up on the Los Angeles Lakers, but the New Orleans Pelicans seem determined to keep their All-Star big man out of the Purple and Gold.
Adrian Wojnarowski appeared on ESPN on Wednesday to report that the Pelicans have no interest in trading Davis to Los Angeles for the time being.

“New Orleans has no interest in acquiescing Anthony Davis to the Lakers right now,” Wojnarowski said.
This is a huge hit to the Lakers’ current and future plans.
Thus far, Lakers team president Magic Johnson has proven incapable of attracting a star free agent to play alongside LeBron James. It now appears he is incapable of getting teams around the league to deal as well.
Davis may be the latest All-Star that Los Angeles is having trouble trading for, but he is not the first.
This summer, it was believed that the Lakers were going to be able to trade for Kawhi Leonard. In the end, Leonard was sent to the Toronto Raptors and the Lakers were left empty-handed.
Based on how things are going with Davis at the moment, it seems they will be left empty-handed once again.
