The NBA’s bubble environment in Orlando, Fla. has very stringent rules and regulations in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Therefore, the league established an anonymous hotline for reporting violations of those rules, and the hotline has been heating up lately.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ Dwight Howard has been one of the latest players to be reported on what some are calling the “Snitch Hotline.”

Appearing on his Instagram Live, Howard said that “someone told on me,” in reference to an individual anonymously reporting the center for not wearing his mask.

If one has been paying attention to Howard’s recent social media posts, it may not be much of a surprise.

The three-time Defensive Player of the Year has shared videos and photos of himself sans a mask at Walt Disney World Resort.

After waffling on whether he would play at all this summer, Howard announced he would be rejoining the Lakers. His decision to play has immensely helped the team maintain its status as arguably the favorite to win the NBA championship.

After years of individual success on teams that have failed to win it all, Howard has been a key role player on a team with championship aspirations.

Whether he wears a mask or not, here’s hoping that Howard stays healthy and does his part for the Purple and Gold.
