Video: Monte Morris Trash Talks LeBron James, Lakers Proceed to Go on 25-8 Run
- Updated: February 13, 2020

There’s an unwritten rule in the NBA that it’s not that wise for a role player to talk trash to a superstar.
With 8:27 left in the second quarter between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets, Monte Morris hit a 3-pointer over LeBron James to give the Nuggets a 45-32 lead.
The Denver guard then proceeded to throw some shade at James.
Monte Morris decided it was wise to talk trash to LeBron.
The Lakers went on a 25-8 run immediately after.

After Morris dissed James, the Lakers came alive, going on a 25-8 run to take a 61-55 lead at halftime.
With a 38-16 record, the Nuggets are in second place in the Western Conference, just three games behind the first-place Lakers.
Although L.A. has dominated this season against sub-.500 teams, it has struggled at times against contenders like the Nuggets. A win here would go a long way in improving the Lakers’ confidence heading into the All-Star break.
