LeBron James reacts to Russell Westbrook showing love on Savannah James social media post
- Updated: June 2, 2022
Los Angeles Lakers stars Russell Westbrook and LeBron James had a wholesome interaction on Instagram after James’ wife Savannah wore a stunning outfit from Westbrook’s clothing line.
Savannah James wore pants from Westbrook’s brand “Honor The Gift,” and the Lakers guard was very appreciative of her showing off the look.
LeBron James responded to Westbrook’s appreciative post, telling his teammate that the company “killed those joints,” referring to the pants.
It’s nice to see that James and Westbrook are so close off the court, especially since the two may run things back in Los Angeles in the 2022-23 season.
The Lakers missed the playoffs in the 2021-22 campaign, but with Westbrook’s looming player option for next season, it is possible the Lakers decide to give the core of him, James and Anthony Davis another go in the 2022-23 season.
While Westbrook struggled a bit in his first season with the Lakers, the team also dealt with a ton of injuries. James and Davis both missed significant chunks of the season, and the Lakers were never able to fully mesh in the 2021-22 campaign.
Despite that, James had an extremely impressive season as a scorer. The four-time champion averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game while shooting 52.4 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from beyond the arc.
If he is able to maintain that level of production next season, the Lakers should be able to compete for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Hopefully for the Lakers, Westbrook can continue to bond with the team this offseason and return to make a bigger impact on the floor in the 2022-23 campaign.
