Video: LeBron James says he wants to play with Stephen Curry ‘for sure’
- Updated: April 6, 2022
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is widely considered to be the greatest NBA player of his generation.
For that reason, him saying that he wants to play with other players can certainly be considered a major honor. In a recent episode of “The Shop,” James was asked who he wants to play with most.
James listed Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry as the current NBA player he most wants to suit up with.
“Steph Curry is the one that I want to play with for sure in today’s game,” said James. “All time, it’s crazy man. I love Scottie Pippen, bro. … Kobe [Bryant] would have been another one. But, Scottie Pippen and Penny Hardaway was my two because I seen myself in them.”
The entire answer is definitely fascinating, but the mention of Curry is probably the most exciting for fans of the NBA. That’s because there is still a chance that James could help make that dream become a reality someday.
Both James and Curry are still two of the best players in the NBA. Though Curry is 34 years old and James is 37 years old, both players seem to have a lot of top-level basketball left in their respective tanks.
It may seem like a pipe dream for those two superstars to pair up on the same squad, but crazier things have certainly happened in the league.
Of course, James and Curry have lots of history. The two faced off in four consecutive series when James was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Curry and the Warriors came out on top in three of the four series. It is likely during that time that an immense level of mutual respect was built.
For now, fans of the NBA can only wonder what a duo of James and Curry would be able to accomplish together.
