After signing a plethora of veterans to deals, the Lakers now boast one of the oldest rosters in the history of the league. L.A. has five key players who are at least 35 years of age.
Regardless, the team is absolutely loaded with talent. As long as health doesn’t become an issue, the Lakers figure to be one of the best teams in the NBA next season.
Arenas had a great NBA career. He was named to three All-Star teams and averaged 20.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game over roughly a decade in the league.
He never won a title, however, and that’s something the Lakers are hoping to accomplish in the 2021-22 season. L.A. certainly has the personnel to do it, and it will merely be a matter of getting the job done.
The Lakers will be hunting for their second championship in a span of three seasons. If they get there, fans can be sure that rumblings of an NBA dynasty will begin.
