- Updated: December 3, 2019
The Los Angeles Lakers are facing a strong team in the Denver Nuggets in Tuesday night’s game.
However, according to Nuggets head coach Michael Malone, he and his Nuggets are facing not just a strong team, but the strongest team in the Western Conference.
Coach Malone when asked about the Lakers being in town and the two best teams in the West facing off tomorrow night said the Lakers are “on a whole nother level. They’re the best team in the West.”

There are quite a lot of reasons why the Lakers could be considered the top team in a loaded Western Conference, but the two clearest are superstar teammates LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
So far this season, both players are in MVP form. James is averaging 25.7 points, 10.9 assists and 7.2 rebounds per game. While Davis is averaging 25.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.7 blocks per game.
Right now, the Lakers are leading the Western Conference with a record of 17-3. They’ll look to get their 18th win of the season against a Nuggets team that is currently sitting just behind them in the conference standings.
