While the Los Angeles Lakers dropped their much anticipated season opener to the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night, small forward Jared Dudley sent a gracious message of optimism to the world.
Best job in the world! Tough loss but a lot to learn from tonight! Will be back on Friday! https://t.co/R9YCyf0PQF

In a battle between two of the most star-studded squads in the NBA, the Clippers defeated the Lakers, 112-102, on opening night.
The match boasted several storylines, such as the Los Angeles debuts of superstar Anthony Davis and two-time champion Kawhi Leonard on their respective teams.
The Lakers big man posted a solid double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes. As for Leonard, he had a fantastic debut by leading all scorers with 30 points, six boards and five assists in 31 minutes of action.
On the other hand, Dudley put up just six points in 13 minutes on Tuesday. While the veteran isn’t expected to be a primary contributor on the floor this season, he’s already showing his intangible value as a voice of optimism, energy and resilience elsewhere.
Both teams will duel again on Christmas Day.
