The Los Angeles Lakers are set to join the free-agency fray with their first signing of the 2019 offseason.
According to reports, expect the Lakers to sign former Phoenix Suns shooting guard Troy Daniels to a contract that will be cap-friendly for the cap-conscious team.
Daniels gives the Lakers an experienced guard to come off the bench who can provide outside shooting that the team sorely lacked last season.
He averaged 6.2 points per game in only 14.9 minutes of playing time. He made 74-of-194 from three-point range for a 38.1 percent shooting percentage. That percentage will likely increase with LeBron James and Anthony Davis dishing out to him when either of them attract too much defensive attention.
