- Updated: November 13, 2019

The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the lowly Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night. It looks like the team’s staff is taking advantage of the matchup against the 2-9 squad to offer superstar big man Anthony Davis some much deserved rest.
According to a Wednesday morning report, Davis will sit out the game, citing soreness in both his shoulder and ribs.

Davis has been a total warrior for the Lakers so far this season and has played in all 10 of their matchups despite admitting to lingering discomfort in his shoulder.
As for Davis’ ribs, that arose in L.A.’s win over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night. While he briefly left the game to get the area treated, he later returned and finished the night with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
With Davis absent in Wednesday’s game, big men Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee are likely to get additional work in the Lakers frontcourt. With both players impressing early in the season, it will be interesting to see how they fare with increased minutes.
