Pau Gasol Sends Vanessa Bryant Flowers for Her Wedding Anniversary With Kobe
- Updated: April 19, 2020
The connection between former Los Angeles Lakers teammates Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol was unparalleled. In fact, the love remains strong between the big man and late great.
Recently, Gasol sent Bryant’s widow, Vanessa, flowers for what would have been the couple’s 19th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

The elder Bryant, along with his daughter Gianna, passed away in a horrific helicopter accident in January.
Gasol, 39, was devastated by the horrendous news. Some of his best years in the NBA were alongside the superstar.
The pair played together for several years. The power forward was traded to the Lakers in February 2008 and would remain with the squad through the 2013-14 season.
However, the highlight of the pair’s partnership came in 2009 and 2010 when the organization won back-to-back championships.
While Gasol’s Lakers days are far behind him, the journeyman is still finding ways to keep his former teammate’s legacy alive.
