Magic Johnson Pays Tribute to LeBron James After Masterful Performance
- Updated: November 2, 2019

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James turned in one of his best games in the Purple and Gold against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night.
In fact, Lakers icon Magic Johnson lavished James with love and respect following his masterful performance.
LeBron put on an absolute SHOW tonight scoring 39-12-16 in the win over the Mavs! This was a confidence builder and statement win for the @Lakers!

James, 34, put up a dominant triple-double with 39 points, 12 boards, 16 assists and four steals in 43 minutes of action. The veteran’s superb play led the Lakers past the Mavericks, 119-110, on Friday night.
Johnson, who was the Lakers’ president of basketball operations last year, abruptly resigned from his position just before the end of the 2018-19 regular season. The decision shocked Lakers management, fans and others around the league.
However, the NBA legend has always stated his allegiance and loyalty to the Lakers. Although the Lakers have missed the playoffs the last few years, it appears the current team Rob Pelinka has engineered is going to be a contender after all.
The Lakers play the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.
