Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic has made a commitment to improving his conditioning and overall fitness this offseason, and the results are already speaking for themselves.

In an interview with Menโ€™s Health magazine, Doncic admitted that his whole body looks better this offseason as he debuts a slimmer version of himself ahead of the 2025-26 season.

โ€œJust visually, I would say my whole body looks better,โ€ Doncic said.

Lakers fans have to love Doncicโ€™s commitment to get in shape, and heโ€™s committed to a gluten-free, low-sugar diet while training with his fitness team this offseason.

โ€œIf I stop now, it was all for nothing,โ€ Doncic said regarding his commitment.

During the 2024-25 season, the Lakers acquired Doncic in a trade with the Dallas Mavericks, a shocking move since Doncic had taken Dallas to the Finals in the 2023-24 season.

In his exit from Dallas, Doncic โ€“ who was dealing with a calf injury at the time โ€“ had his physical fitness called into question. Now, it appears that the Lakers star is focused on putting all of those questions to bed.

Doncic was limited to just 50 games in the 2024-25 season, but he was still an extremely effective player when he was on the floor. The five-time All-Star averaged 28.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game while shooting 45.0 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Even though he still put up gaudy numbers despite dealing with injuries, Doncic appears to be committed to taking his game to the next level in the 2025-26 season.

After the Lakers were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round by the Minnesota Timberwolves, Doncic made it clear that he wanted to get ready for the 2025-26 season, texting his manager, Lara Beth Seager, that he wanted to start training as soon as possible.

โ€œSo every summer I try my best to work on different things,” Doncic said. “Obviously, I’m very competitive. This summer was just a little bit different, you know. It kind of motivated me to be even better.โ€

The Lakers earned the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference in the 2024-25 season, but a motivated and healthy Doncic could take them even further in the 2025-26 season.

Doncic is also eligible to sign an extension with the Lakers this offseason, and heโ€™s certainly showing the franchise that he wants to be the best version of himself in the 2025-26 season and beyond.

Hopefully, Doncic will remain committed to keeping himself in elite shape for the rest of his tenure in Los Angeles.
