Danny Green Says LeBron James Working Out Like Madman, Lakers Still Have Access to Gyms
- Updated: April 18, 2020
Los Angeles Lakers veteran Danny Green recently sat down to speak with Spectrum SportsNet’s Chris McGee about the many challenges of daily life amidst the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the conversation, Green revealed that superstar teammate LeBron James is maintaining an arduous workout regimen.
Green also indicated that both James and Anthony Davis are making sure that their teammates have access to a gym in order to stay as sharp as possible.
“Bron is checking in on guys. A.D. is checking in on guys,” he said. “Making sure guys, if they have access to a gym or not. If they’re in town or not, they can able to come their way and get workouts in. Because you know he’s working out like a mad men at least four to five times a week. He gives us that option, but a lot of guys here, and most of them have gone back home to their families to stay close, but a lot of guys here have found access to something to be able to stay in shape.”
The leadership that is coming from Davis and James is one of the many reasons why the Lakers were such a dangerous team back when the 2019-20 season was still humming along.
Their incredible talent seems to only be matched by their determination to win a championship.
Given what Green revealed about how the Lakers are handling the current shutdown, it appears as though they will be ready to go once the 2019-20 season gets back on track.
