LeBron James Sends Bold Message to His Doubters After Lakers Start Season 20-3
- Updated: December 8, 2019
Despite his many accomplishments, the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James still has his fair share of critics.
James took to his Instagram to address them.
After perhaps the most disappointing season of his career, both individually and team-wise, the four-time NBA MVP is playing as well as ever.
He’s averaging 25.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 10.7 assists per game while helping to lead the Lakers to a gaudy 20-3 record.
James’ 10.7 assists are leading the NBA. Despite being considered one of the greatest passers of his generation, he’s never won the assist title.
Despite the tone of his Instagram message, he’s been having fun this season, to the point where he has been criticized.
During the Lakers’ blowout win over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, James gave away his sneakers to a child in the stands. Then moments later, he celebrated back-to-back blocked shots by Kyle Kuzma by dancing on the baseline in his socks.
That resulted in the hometown broadcasters for the Utah Jazz to say that James was being disrespectful.
The Lakers are coming off arguably their toughest road trip of the season in which they defeated the Jazz, Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers to go 3-0.
