A heckler tried to embarrass LeBron James, but the Los Angeles Lakers superstar had the last laugh.
Though there were certainly a number of heckling fans out to get under James’ skin during his team’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night, one of them actually got his attention.
While standing by his team’s bench, the 15-time All-Star told a heckling member of the crowd that his partner wasn’t particularly happy with his behavior.
“Your lady embarrassed to be with you,” James said.
The response from James appeared to get a huge reaction from those nearby with Anthony Davis seemingly enjoying his teammate’s retort as well.
It’s not clear exactly what the heckler told James, but it certainly moved the 6-foot-9 forward to respond. The fan also got the attention of Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and many others.
James is no stranger to hecklers and he has dealt with them many times over the course of his storied career.
Through the years, James has learned that the best way to silence the haters is always through his play on the floor. He did just that on Tuesday night when he recorded his third straight triple-double and powered the Lakers to a win, 118-112.
