LeBron James Announces Nike LeBron 17 ‘Future Air’ Sneakers in Lakers Colorway
- Updated: September 19, 2019
LeBron James has long been known for sporting some of the most popular basketball sneakers on the market. Throughout his career, his partnership with Nike has helped create some truly classic designs.
As he prepares to begin his 17th NBA season, the four-time MVP has just unveiled his 17th signature shoe.
James took to Instagram to show off his LeBron 17 “Future Air” sneakers in the Los Angeles Lakers’ colorway.
James is on the verge of his second season with the Lakers. It is also perhaps the first time in his career that there are some very real doubts regarding his status amongst the best players in the NBA.
Some still consider him to be the best in the game. Others wonder if he is entering the twilight of his career.
While he had very impressive stats last season, averaging 27.4 points, 8.5 assists, and 8.3 rebounds per game, he only managed to suit up for 55 contests due to injury. It was the first time in his Hall of Fame career that he missed more than 20 games in a season because of injury.
There’s no doubt that the three-time NBA champion is looking to show out on the court this season. Having these great looking sneakers strapped to his size 15 feet is a great way to start.
