Lakers Players Erupt After Anthony Davis’ Historic Night vs. Grizzlies
- Updated: October 30, 2019

Anthony Davis’ historic outing versus the Memphis Grizzlies Tuesday night elicited more than a few awestruck responses on social media.
Though they were in attendance on the day that Davis registered a 40-point, 20-rebound performance in only three quarters of play, the other Los Angeles Lakers players couldn’t help but post their reactions on their personal Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Among those who were quite impressed by Davis’ big night was four-time MVP LeBron James, who called his 6-foot-10 teammate a “monster.”
NBA champion Danny Green posted a photo of himself helping Davis stand up after the six-time All-Star fell on the floor during the game.
Kyle Kuzma was one of the highest paid spectators at Staples Center as he missed his fourth straight game due to an injury he suffered this offseason. Kuzma has seen a lot of special performances in his young career especially as he was a teammate of James last season, but he acknowledges that Davis is something else.

Fan-favorite Laker, Alex Caruso, agreed with Kuzma’s response to Davis’ special night.

Laker legend Magic Johnson tweeted some fast facts about Davis’ brilliant showing perhaps to try and make sense of what he had just witnessed.
Last night Anthony Davis set two records: an NBA record 40 points and 20 rebounds in only 31 minutes and three quarters. He also set a Lakers franchise record for free throws made in a game, going 26-for-27 from the line! Incredible.

Anthony Davis is in elite company with two other Laker big men, Shaq and Kareem, as the third Lakers player with 100 points, 10 blocks and 10 assists through his first four games with the franchise.

Davis bullied his way against his overmatched opponents the whole night as he almost single-handedly carried the Lakers to the 120-91 win over the Grizzlies. He also added two assists and two blocks.
