The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers will engage in their second matchup of the season on Christmas Day.
Though there is much anticipation amongst the two teams’ fan bases, Clippers star Kawhi Leonard recently asserted that he is not looking ahead to the game.
Leonard spurned the Lakers this past offseason when he opted to sign with the Clippers instead of the more iconic L.A. franchise.
Thus far, his decision has worked out quite well. He and the Clippers currently hold the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference with a record of 21-8.
The only team ahead of them in the standings is the Lakers with a record of 24-4.
The only other matchup between the two teams so far this season took place on opening night. In that game, the Clippers defeated the Lakers, 112-102.
Leonard dominated the game with 30 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals.
With the Clippers and Lakers seemingly destined to face off against one another in this season’s Western Conference Finals, there will certainly be a lot to look out for in that Christmas Day clash.
