LeBron James and Kobe Bryant have been the subject of comparison by fans and critics alike for over a decade now, but Dwight Howard is not about to get into that debate.
Instead, Howard recently chose to shut up one critic who tried to fire up an argument by contrasting the two NBA greats. After the Los Angeles Lakers center congratulated James on Instagram, one user suggested that Howard was throwing shade at Bryant.

By putting his foot down on the situation, Howard quickly threw cold water on potential rumors that could have arisen from his words on social media.
Howard and Bryant didn’t get along well when the two played together on the 2012-13 Lakers team. But the two have recently re-established a more civil relationship which fans saw play out on Sunday when Howard and Bryant exchanged pleasantries during the latter’s visit to Staples Center to watch a live Lakers game.
In the Lakers’ following game, James made history when he became the first player in league annals to record a triple-double against every team in the NBA.
Many have congratulated James for the achievement, and it looks as if Howard’s Instagram post was merely the 6-foot-10 center’s way of publicly congratulating the Lakers superstar.
