Lakers News: Kobe Bryant to Be Inducted Into 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame

The legacy of Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant will be immortalized in basketball greatness.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the five-time NBA champion will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Bryant, who passed away in January, will be joined in the class by former rivals Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett.

There is no question Bryant deserves this tremendous honor.

Over the course of his 20-year career, he posted 25.0 points, 5.2 boards and 4.7 assists per game. Bryant captured five NBA championships and two Olympic gold medals as a member of the U.S. national team.

Furthermore, the Lakers legend inspired a generation of basketball players all over the world to be like him and aspire for greatness.

An official announcement of the entire Hall of Fame class is expected to be made on Saturday.
