Los Angeles Lakers captain LeBron James has a knack for elevating his teammates.
Recently, Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine told ESPN he would love to play with the four-time MVP if given the chance.
“Everybody wants to play with the best players in the world,” LaVine said. “I would love to go out there and play with a dude like LeBron James. But you’re not gonna get those type of opportunities I don’t think.”
LaVine, 24, is one of the best young guards in the league.
The 6-foot-6 pro is having a tremendous year. He is putting up a career-best 25.3 points as well as 4.8 boards, 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game this season.
Although the 2020 All-Star Game is in Chicago, the Bulls youngster did not make the elusive cut for the star-studded contest. Despite LaVine’s strong play this season, the Bulls are currently the No. 10 team in the Eastern Conference.
Meanwhile, James has led the Lakers to the second-best record in the league at the All-Star break. The three-time champion is averaging 25.0 points, 10.8 assists and 7.8 boards per game this season.
The 17-year veteran has an uncanny ability to bring the best out of his teammates.
Due to James’ superb play and leadership, multiple former teammates of his have tasted success they likely wouldn’t have acquired on their own.
