Vanessa Bryant Shares Unopened Letter From Kobe Bryant on Her Birthday

As Vanessa Bryant celebrated her 38th birthday on Tuesday, she posted a photo on Instagram of an unopened letter from her late husband, Kobe .

The Los Angeles Lakers legend had written the touching letter to his wife before he passed away in January.

In addition to losing her husband in a horrific helicopter accident in January, Vanessa Bryant lost her daughter, Gianna, as well.

The ineffable pain the Bryant family has had to endure over the past few months is awful.

As different milestones such as birthdays and anniversaries begin to appear, the memories of the beloved father and daughter likely start to pour in.

Kobe Bryant and Vanessa Bryant first met on Nov. 27, 1999. Vanessa Bryant was serving as a backup dancer for a music video while Kobe Bryant was working on an album in the same building.

Since that initial meet up over 20 years ago, the couple has raised an incredible family and changed numerous lives through tremendous work in the community.

In early April, the five-time champion was officially selected be in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
