Patrick Beverley Hints at Joining Los Angeles Lakers via Social Media
- Updated: June 18, 2019
The Los Angeles Lakers have already made the blockbuster trade of the 2019 offseason with the acquisition of All-Star big man Anthony Davis.
Now, it is time for the Lakers front office to surround both Davis and fellow star LeBron James with additional talent. One player who the Lakers may be interested in bringing in is veteran point guard Patrick Beverley. Not only is Beverley a hard-nosed distributor with playoff experience, he also seems quite interested in donning the Purple and Gold.

Lakers fans are quite familiar with Beverley thanks to the fact that he has spent the last two seasons playing for the Los Angeles Clippers. Last season, Beverley averaged 7.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
His defensive acumen helped the Clippers advance to the Western Conference Playoffs where they pushed the then-defending champion Golden State Warriors to an improbable six-game series.
With the Lakers, fans would hope that he could help the squad reach far greater peaks than that. With James and Davis now on the roster, it is up to the front office to either bring another star to L.A., or surround the two stars they have with a deep and talented rotation.
By the looks of it, Beverley could very well be a part of that rotation sometime soon.
