Uninterrupted, LeBron James’ sports media company, will be exploring the Houston Astros’ cheating scandal in an upcoming documentary series.

Streaming service Quibi will air the series titled, “Sign Language,” which will be an in-depth look into the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal that rocked the MLB.

“The documentary will transcend the baseball diamond to explore larger themes of greed, cheating, corruption, sportsmanship, and social media activism,” teased Quibi. “‘Sign Language’ will be the definitive documentary about the scandal that rock America’s pastime.”

After the MLB opened a thorough investigation into the Astros, the league announced in January 2020 that the team stole signs from opposing teams through the illegal use of cameras during the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

The investigation revealed that the Astros were using video monitors and trash cans to communicate signs to players at-bat in order to gain an advantage over their opponents.

The players weren’t punished for the infraction, but general manager Jeff Luhnow and field manager A.J. Hinch were suspended by the MLB for the 2020 season. They were also fired from the team as a result.

Additionally, the team was fined $5 million by the MLB.

“Sign Language” should reveal more into the controversy when it debuts later this year.

James, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, will be doing the city service with the documentary. The Astros defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3 in the 2017 World Series, a matchup that will more than likely be highlighted in the documentary.
