The Los Angeles Lakers have been without point guard Rajon Rondo for all of the 2019-20 season. They have also been without Avery Bradley since he injured his leg in Sunday’s win over the San Antonio Spurs.
As they prepare to take on the surging Miami Heat on Friday, the Lakers announced that both players cooperated in practice on Thursday. Despite that, Bradley remains questionable for the game and Rondo is listed as out.
Last season, Rondo was a valuable player for the Lakers and averaged 9.2 points, 8.0 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. However, he was able to play in just 46 games due to injury.
As for Bradley, he’s played quite well thus far in his first season with L.A. In six games he’s averaged 10.7 points and 3.3 rebounds. He recorded 16 points against the Spurs before he injured his right leg, the highest point total of his Lakers tenure.
Hopefully both players are able to return to action soon. Their increased action in practice is without a doubt a positive sign.
