The Los Angeles Lakers are currently in the midst of their third straight win on the road, as they currently lead the Portland Trail Blazers 95-79 in what will likely be a blowout victory.
However, it was reported after halftime that backup point guard Rajon Rondo had suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter and will not return for the rest of the matchup.
Rajon Rondo will not return to the game with a left hamstring strain, the Lakers say.

Rondo had been playing well for the Lakers, relieving LeBron James as the only playmaker on the team. On the season, the veteran point guard had been averaging 8.8 points and 6.1 assists per game.
The severity of the injury has yet to be determined but considering Rondo’s injury history, the Lakers would be wise to exercise some caution in regards to his return.
