Kobe Bryant’s Brilliant Response to Michael Jordan Saying ‘I Would’ve Destroyed You’

Hall of Fame guards Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are two of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball.

They also built quite the relationship, mainly because of Jordan’s willingness to mentor the late Bryant.

However, when Jordan told Bryant that he “would’ve destroyed” him, the Los Angeles Laker legend didn’t back down.

“Remember who you’re talking to,” Bryant responded.

During his career, the five-time champion never backed down from anyone, so it’s no surprise he was ready to go toe to toe with arguably the greatest player of all time.

Bryant and Jordan faced each other eight different times during their careers, with Bryant’s team winning five of the matchups.

Their best game against each other may be from Dec. 17, 1997.

Jordan’s Chicago Bulls defeated Bryant’s Lakers 104-83, but both players had fantastic games.

Jordan led the way with 36 points, but Kobe had quite the game as well, finishing with 33 points on 12-of-20 shooting.

How’s that for not backing down?
