Los Angeles Lakers forward Jared Dudley spilled the beans on Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo’s issue with the league’s proposed plan to resume the 2019-20 NBA season.
Antetokounmpo, 25, welcomed a son into the world in February.
While Antetokounmpo became a first-time father in the middle of the season, the taxing duties of being a dad didn’t stop him from producing on the floor. In fact, the reigning MVP is having a stellar season.
The 6-foot-11 forward is putting up 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game this season. Furthermore, the Bucks are the best team in the NBA.
However, Antetokounmpo and the Bucks saw their amazing campaign come to a halt after the NBA suspended the 2019-20 season in March due to the novel coronavirus.
While there was fear the league wouldn’t be able to resume the season, a new wave of optimism around bubble sites and stadiums without fans has restored hope. However, players’ interactions with other people will have to be closely monitored.
After all, the world is still in the midst of a dangerous pandemic.
There is no official date for when the NBA will resume the 2019-20 campaign.
