Jared Dudley Makes Huge Announcement, Emphatically States NBA Is Coming Back

While NBA commissioner Adam Silver has made no official announcement that the 2019-20 season is back in session, Los Angeles Lakers forward Jared Dudley declared that the NBA is coming back via Twitter.

The NBA suspended the 2019-20 season after Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert contracted the novel coronavirus back in March.

Days after Silver announced that the season was on pause due to the coronavirus, numerous players from multiple different teams also tested positive for the deadly virus. Unfortunately, several players on the Lakers were on that list.

Dozens of states immediately began to shut down operations and mandate that citizens stay at home in order to curb the spread of the virus.

However, nearly two months later, it appears the country is slowly getting back to action. In fact, California is allowing sporting events without fans to take place starting in June.

Dudley, 34, is ecstatic about the prospect of the 2019-20 season resuming. After all, the Lakers were in good shape to win the 2020 championship before the season got suspended.

The Lakers are currently sitting atop the Western Conference standings. While Dudley isn’t one of the primary stars on the squad, the veteran plays a crucial role behind the scenes.

The journeyman has career averages of 7.5 points and 3.2 boards per game.
