Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel can’t believe how great All-Star LeBron James has looked in practice after the NBA hiatus.
James and the Lakers haven’t played official basketball since March, which is when the league shut down the 2019-20 season due to the novel coronavirus.
Despite James having a long break from basketball, he has appeared to stay in top shape.
The four-time MVP has always been great about staying in pristine shape. After all, he played in eight consecutive NBA Finals from 2011 to 2018. There’s no way he would be able to consistently play at a high level without having practices and structures in place.
Now, the three-time champion is focused on getting back to the NBA Finals and bringing the Lakers a title. The Lakers are the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
The superstar is putting up 25.7 points, 10.6 assists and 7.9 boards per game this season.
The Lakers resume the 2019-20 season on July 30 against the Los Angeles Clippers.
