With all that’s going on in the world right now, it’s easy to forget about the tragic passing of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.
Luckily, superstar rapper Drake took the opportunity to honor the fallen legend in his new “Toosie Slide” music video.
It’s a simple tribute, but in the music video, Bryant’s No. 8 and No. 24 jerseys are clearly visible.
Just as the basketball world was starting to heal from the unexpected passing of the five-time champion, the 2019-20 NBA season was put on pause due to the novel coronavirus.
Fans all over the world are now not only missing Bryant, but missing the entire game of basketball.
The Lakers seemed poise to make a serious run for the title this season.
Now, the season itself is being brought into question. While every indication points to the league’s determination to finish the season out and crown a champion, it is hard to do much planning of any sort at the moment.
Still, for fans of Bryant and Drake, this small tribute will surely bring a smile to their faces and possible even a tear to their eyes.
