One of the perks of playing for the Los Angeles Lakers is being able to easily meet some of the biggest celebrities.
But one of the newest Laker players, DeMarcus Cousins, has already gone above and beyond meeting and greeting some of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
When he was in office, the 44th president of the United States was well-known as a big basketball fan. He famously had a full-length basketball court installed on the grounds of the White House, where he would sometimes participate in pickup games with some big movers and shakers.
In his earlier years, he played varsity basketball at Punahou School in his birth state of Hawaii, and he even helped them win a state championship in 1979.
Cousins is being regarded by many as the X factor for the 2019-20 Lakers. If he is fully healthy and simply plays at the level he played at late last season for the Golden State Warriors, he will be quite a boon for the Purple and Gold.
In 30 regular-season games for the Warriors in 2018-19, he averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.5 blocks per game in 25.7 minutes of playing time.
