Damian Lillard and LeBron James seen together at Sparks vs. Aces game
- Updated: June 30, 2021
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Sparks lost to the Las Vegas Aces, 99-75.
But the real story, at least as far as Los Angeles Lakers fans are concerned, was that LeBron James and Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard were seen together at the contest.

James and his team are coming off a very disappointing season. Just months after winning the NBA championship, the Lakers lost in the first round of the 2021 NBA Playoffs to the Phoenix Suns.
Most attribute the early playoff exit to injuries sustained by James and Anthony Davis.
With several key players about to become free agents later this summer, there are rumors that Lillard may want out of Portland, and that other stars around the league are urging him to demand a trade.
Lakers fans are no doubt dreaming of a blockbuster trade that would send the Oakland, Calif. native to the Purple and Gold.
If it comes to fruition, it may not seem too out of the ordinary given James’ history of forming superteams and the Lakers’ history of acquiring superstars in order to reload.
