Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis didn’t enjoy a very memorable outing in Sunday’s win over the Atlanta Hawks, but he didn’t seem to mind.
Following the game, Davis assured fans that he’s more worried about his team getting the win than his own statistics.
Davis finished with a pedestrian 14 points and five assists in 26 minutes of play. However, he did record five blocks, tying his season-high. Turns out, Davis wasn’t needed much on the offensive end as six other Lakers players finished the night with double-digit scoring totals. LeBron James recorded a game-high scoring total with a 33-point outpouring.
Most importantly, as Davis indicated, the Lakers got the win. They dismantled the Hawks in a 122-101 blowout.
Up next, Davis and the Lakers will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. Given the way they’re rolling right now, chances are good that the Lakers will be getting another win in that game as well.
