The already somewhat undermanned Los Angeles Lakers may become a little more shorthanded.

During their 120-101 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday evening, Anthony Davis headed early to the locker room with an apparent shoulder injury.

Davis had a dominant game at both ends of the floor, scoring 29 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field and 3-of-5 shooting from 3-point range, to go along with 14 rebounds, three assists and three blocks.

With the game in hand late, he checked out of the game with 2:20 left in the fourth quarter along with LeBron James, Avery Bradley and Danny Green, then immediately headed to the locker room.

Davis already had an injury scare a few weeks ago, when he sustained a sprained thumb during a preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets in China. The MRI came back clean, however, and Davis was cleared to continue playing.
