The NBA’s best players want the 2019-20 season to resume.
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul arranged a call with the league’s superstars on Monday to discuss how they want to continue the season.
“Toward the end of the call discussing the ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic, all parties were in agreement to take the court with proper safety measures once the league is given the green light to commence, sources said,” Haynes wrote.
The star-studded conversation included some of the finest basketball players in the world.
“Chris Paul, the president of the players association, arranged the call that included LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard and Russell Westbrook, sources said,” Haynes reported.
The NBA suspended the 2019-20 season after Utah Jazz center Rody Gobert contracted the coronavirus in March.
In the days after the league announced the suspension, numerous players from others team also tested positive for the deadly virus. As a result, the NBA has been extremely cautious.
Nonetheless, it appears the league’s finest players are in tandem on wanting the season resumed.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks are the two best teams in the NBA.
