Anthony Davis has been playing like a man possessed for the Los Angeles Lakers so far this season, and his teammates are loving it.
This was especially evident when he hit a 3-pointer and got fouled in the first half of their game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.
Davis leads all scorers by a mile with 25 points, as the Lakers took a 77-62 lead at halftime in Portland.
The former New Orleans Pelican has been doing his thing offensively this season in a myriad of ways.
He’s been showing off what seems to be an improved low post game, running the floor and moving without the ball for easy lobs and hitting from the outside.
He’s also been excelling at the defensive end, as his 2.7 blocked shots per game have been pacing a defense that’s the second-most efficient in the NBA.
As awesome as Davis has been offensively, he’s maintained that his goal is to be named Defensive Player of the Year this season.
