Report: NBA Postpones Tuesday’s Game Between Lakers and Clippers

Tuesday night’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers has officially been postponed in the wake of Kobe Bryant’s death.

Along with the announcement, the league released a statement offering its reasoning. It’s likely that many Lakers, Clippers and NBA fans will wholeheartedly agree with the gesture.

Hopefully, this postponement gives the players and coaches of both teams the time they need to grieve.

During Sunday’s slew of games, players all over the league were seen breaking down in tears. Players such as Trae Young, DeMar DeRozan and Tyson Chandler were amongst those who fans saw display their raw emotions.

While Bryant played for the Lakers for his entire career, there is no doubt that the Clippers feel a sort of kinship to the NBA legend as well.

After all, both the Lakers and Clippers play in Staples Center.

While there is no indication when the two teams will actually make up this game, that matchup is sure to be an emotional one.

With Tuesday’s game off of the schedule, the next time the Lakers will suit up will be for a Friday night game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
