With less than two weeks left in the decade of the 2010s, ESPN’s “The Jump” debated who the best player of the past 10 seasons has been.
However, it wasn’t much of a debate.
Former Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce picked a certain Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
“This is hands down, no argument, unanimously – and if anybody else has something to say, they don’t know nothing about the game of basketball,” said Pierce. “It’s hands down LeBron James, without a doubt.”
James’ resume in this decade speaks for itself. He has three regular season MVP awards, three NBA Finals MVPs, three NBA championships and eight appearances in the championship series.
Although, to be fair – as the crew on “The Jump” mentioned, the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry isn’t that far behind.
Curry has won two regular season MVPs, and he also has three world championships to be proud of. Unlike James, Curry has won a scoring title in this decade – he did so in the 2015-16 season.
