Kyle Kuzma ushered in the new year with a bold hairstyle, but the fashion statement didn’t exactly elicit positive responses on social media.

Fans on Twitter had a field day roasting Kuzma after he showed off his new look when the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.

In fact, the Laker forward didn’t have to wait until after the game to know what NBA fans thought of his decision to go blonde.

During a trip to the free-throw line versus the Suns, he smiled after someone compared him to a certain famous rapper by the name of Eminem.

Others followed up on the comparison on Twitter.

Other comparisons were made online as well, with one coming from television show host and former NFL star Shannon Sharpe.

Another fan compared Kuzma’s new look to Jonah Hill’s hairstyle in the comedy film “21 Jump Street.”

Kuzma was also likened to pop star Justin Bieber and rapper and actor Jaden Smith.

Despite the insults on Twitter, Kuzma played well against the Suns, scoring 19 points to help the Lakers usher in the new year with a 117-107 win.

The Lakers are 1-0 with Kuzma’s new hairdo. That should certainly help console the 24-year-old.
