LeBron James Beyond Hyped for Michael Jordan’s ‘The Last Dance’ Documentary

In a few weeks, ESPN will air “The Last Dance,” a 10-part documentary series featuring Michael Jordan, and Los Angeles Lakers superstar Lebron James can’t wait.

The series is about the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls, which was the last season that Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman all played together in the Windy City.

All three, of course, went on to be enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

That year, the Bulls were the two-time defending NBA champs and had won the world title in five of the previous seven seasons.

With Pippen injured for the first part of the season, the Bulls got out of the gate slowly, winning just 12 of their first 21 games. But they took off after that, finishing with a 62-20 record, which tied them with the Utah Jazz for the best record in the NBA.

Chicago survived the Eastern Conference Finals against the Indiana Pacers by the skin of their teeth, coming from behind to win Game 7 of that series. They then put away the Jazz in an NBA Finals that wasn’t quite as close as it looked on paper.

That sixth championship put the capper on Jordan’s legacy and made him an inspiration to all that followed, including James.
