Following the Los Angeles Lakers victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night, superstar LeBron James and his family were forced to evacuate their home due to wildfires that are raging in the Los Angeles area.
James, 34, signed with Lakers during the 2018 offseason. While the allure of Los Angeles is definitely appealing, it’s situations like this one that make the big market unattractive to some.
Yet, the veteran has comfortably made Los Angeles his home and propelled the Lakers into a new era of contention. After a forgettable campaign last year, James has turned the switch this season as the Lakers seem to be more focused and determined to succeed.
Through three games, the four-time MVP is putting up 23.2 points, 10.0 assists and 7.7 rebounds per contest.
After James was able to get to safety following the evacuation, he wished the best for others in the path of the fire and first responders.
