In a late story published by Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the reporter centered his focus around comments that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James made about Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.
During a video released on Uninterrupted’s YouTube channel, James said that he would’ve been able to complement Jordan’s game perfectly.
“Me personally, the way I play the game — team first — I feel like my best assets work perfectly with Mike,” James said. “Mike is an assassin. When it comes to playing the game of basketball, scoring the way he scored the ball, [then] my ability to pass, my ability to read the game plays and plays and plays in advance.”
However, the way Windhorst phrased the story made it sound as if James was backing down from Jordan.
James, who rarely responds to trolls and critics on Twitter, had no choice but to fire back a sharp response to the misinterpretation.
With the lack of sports fodder at the moment for fans to eat up, this new spat between James and reporter should be enough for sports talk shows to focus on for weeks to come.
